BABE RUTH SIGNED 1938 DODGERS TEAM BASEBALL PSA/DNA
PSA/DNA Certification #B85690
Brooklyn Dodgers team signed balls from 1938 featuring Babe Ruth's signature are quite rare as he was only with the club for a few months. The "Babe" joined the Dodgers as a coach in the spring of 1938 and it marked his first and only return to Major League baseball after his official retirement in 1935. Ruth was a tremendous drawing card for the talent starved Dodgers that season and the Brooklyn front office made sure he kept a very high profile. Not only was Ruth appointed first base coach, (where the fans would be sure to see him throughout the entire game), but he was also ordered to take pre-game batting practice with the club so the fans could once again witness the "Sultan of Swat" hitting a few balls out of the park. The toned ONL (Frick) baseball is signed in blue ink ("2-6") by 11 members of the 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers with Ruth's signature being among the strongest. . A unique opportunity to obtain an extremely scarce and desirable Babe Ruth team ball from his last year in professional baseball! LOA Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
Baseball was signed in Pen. Don't be fooled by the many fake autographs on Ebay. This autograph is guaranteed authentic and has been certified by PSA/DNA, the authority on autograph authentication.
